Away, But Not Gone Fishin' Rich Carson is away from ProHealth this week, working to learn all he can at the International Association for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (IACFS) Conference in Florida, which runs through January 14. Importantly, this conference is focused as much on informing Fibromyalgia specialists and patients as on CFS. In fact, the intensive five-day schedule of research updates and educational sessions is being co-sponsored by PANDORA - an advocacy organization dedicated to bettering the lives of people with FM, CFS, and other related 'neuroendocrineimmune disorders.' In addition to more than 300 researchers and clinicians from all over the world, the conference is hosting record crowds of patients, plus advocates, caregivers, and students. Next week all these attendees will be back home; inspired, better informed, and ready to begin passing on what they've learned to you. May hope bloom for us all in 2007 Rich Carson ProHealth Founder and CFS Patient |

Plant carrots in January and you'll never have to eat carrots. - Unknown Sometimes our fate resembles a fruit tree in winter. Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom? But we hope it, we know it. - Goethe Resentments: Time to Clean House Many of us have harbored resentments toward doctors, lawyers, employers and others. The doctors didn't take away our pain. The lawyers didn't do a good enough job. And our employers fired us. The others simply didn't understand what we were going through and expressed little concern. Regardless if our resentments are from the past or they are new, they must be resolved. They cause stress, sleepless nights, pent up anger, and unnecessary pain. Our only chance is to clean house. Face our resentments and move on. Our resentments are like weeds. When not dealt with, they keep spreading throughout our body. Eventually we become ragefull, bitter people and we become consumed with pain. Today is our day to put the past behind us and move forward with peace and contentment.
