  • Protective role of 1 alpha, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 [vitamin D3] against oxidative stress in nonmalignant human prostate epithelial cells – Source: International Journal of Cancer, Jun 2008
    Continuing research at University of Rochester “demonstrates that vitamin D not only can be used as a therapy for prostate cancer, it can prevent prostate cancer from happening.” Vitamin D3 acts as an antioxidant protecting healthy prostate epithelial (lining) cells - but not malignant ones.
